Sharon Osbourne Rachel is a British-American television personality, music manager, and author. She is formerly known as Sharon Levy and later as Sharon Arden after she got married.

Early Life

Sharon Rachel Levy was born on October 9, 1952 (71 years), in London, United Kingdom. She is the only daughter of her parents a Jewish singer from Manchester, Don Arden, her father and his Irish dancer wife. Her father, a renowned music promoter and rock entrepreneur, managed Black Sabbath and infamously fired Ozzy Osbourne who later married Sharon from the group.

Sharon later began dating Ozzy in 1979 and took over his management from her father’s organization. Despite her professional success, her relationship with her father was strained due to his disapproval of her dating Ozzy and managing his career. In her memoir, Sharon recounted instances of violence and manipulation from her father, which led to a rift between them lasting 20 years. She also had a troubled relationship with her mother, who pressured her into making decisions she later regretted, including undergoing an abortion. Their relationship further deteriorated after a serious car accident that left her mother emotionally unstable. Sharon’s upbringing was marked by turmoil and estrangement from her parents, culminating in difficult reunions later in life.

Husband

Sharon Osbourne,  first met her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, when she was 18 years old while working for her father,  who was managing Black Sabbath at the time. After Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979, Sharon began dating him and took over his management as a solo artist.

They got married on July 4, 1982, in Maui, Hawaii, and together they have three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. Additionally, Sharon has two stepchildren, Louis and Jessica, from Ozzy’s previous marriage to Thelma Riley.

Her marriage was tumultuous, marred by alcohol, drug use, and violence. Sharon has recounted instances of physical altercations between them. On one occasion, Ozzy knocking out her front teeth and her retaliating by throwing a bottle of scotch at his head. In August 1989, Ozzy was arrested for attempted murder after a violent incident fueled by alcohol and drugs.

He spent six months in rehabilitation afterward, and despite the severity of the situation, Sharon chose not to press charges. In 2016, Sharon revealed that she attempted to take her own life upon learning of Ozzy’s affair with hairdresser Michelle Pugh. Their relationship has faced numerous challenges over the years, but they have persevered through them together.
